In the article, “ Mick Mulvaney’s Ukraine Comments UpendTrump Admin’s Impeachment Strategy ” by Jeff Manson, the author provides information about the current President's allegations about interfering with foreign aid that was withheld for Ukraine. The White House interim Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told the media that President Trump was concern about safety but in reality, he wanted information that was in a server located in Ukraine that contained information about the democratic party. According to the article and the information described by the author, the intended audience is aimed at the general public, but I believe more specifically to undecided voters because of this kind of information may shift the way people think about their potential presidential candidate in the upcoming elections of 2020. In “Historians on Trump: We've never seen anything like this” Opinion by Elizabeth A. Cobbs, Kyle Longley, Kenneth Osgood, and Jeremi Suri. They argue about how president trump is taking advantage of being in the oval office and using the executive branch for his own advantage, the presidents argues that he is focusing on solving corruptions, but he is only focusing on his strongest opponent from the democratic party. At first, I thought it was just the press wanting to make headlines, but after reading this article I realized that compared to past presidents Donald Trump has been asking many leaders for favors in exchange for information about opponents and information to take down potential candidates who can take down his chances of reelection.
